Amphibian photos (high resolution)
The Amphibian Ark has been incredibly fortunate to have been supplied with a generous number of images for our own use, and these are also available to other amphibian conservation organisations for non-profit use. Images are to be used only for educational and fundraising purposes in support of amphibian conservation. They are not available for general use. For any other use, please contact Amphibian Ark (webmaster@amphibianark.org) to request permission. We will then put you in contact with the owner of the image so you can seek their permission to use the photo. When using any of the images, it is essential that full credit is given to the photographer. The correct credit is included in the description of each image. If you have any further questions regarding the use of images, please contact Amphibian Ark (webmaster@amphibianark.org). To download an image, To save an image, right click on the file name, and select Save Target As.

Conservation Needs Assessment workshop results
Amphibian Ark Taxon Officers help to coordinate all aspects of implementation within the AArk initiative; assist AArk partners in identifying priority taxa for in situ and ex situ conservation work. An initial part of this process involves assessing amphibian species, to identify priority species and their immediate conservation needs. Ex situ conservation of a threatened amphibian species is considered a necessity when the imperative of in situ conservation cannot by itself ensure the survival of a species and its ecosystem. The column headings in this table represent conservation roles determined by the conservation needs assessment tool. Conservation roles that are currently in use are marked with an *. Note that the sum of the columns is greater than the "All species" collumn, because species may appear in more than one category. Click on the number of species for each workshop to view the results.
