Conservation Needs Assessment workshop results

Modify settings and columns
Amphibian Ark Taxon Officers help to coordinate all aspects of implementation within the AArk initiative; assist AArk partners in identifying priority taxa for in situ and ex situ conservation work. An initial part of this process involves assessing amphibian species, to identify priority species and their immediate conservation needs. Ex situ conservation of a threatened amphibian species is considered a necessity when the imperative of in situ conservation cannot by itself ensure the survival of a species and its ecosystem.

The column headings in this table represent conservation roles determined by the conservation needs assessment tool. Conservation roles that are currently in use are marked with an *.  Note that the sum of the columns is greater than the "All species" collumn, because species may appear in more than one category.
